Ockley Magazine's website is a simple product with few requirements. The latest issue of the village's local magazine can be downloaded, along with previous issues, and a calendar view of current community events. And that's it, so keeping the design clean and simple was paramount.

A single-page design was chosen, with smooth scrolling when a link is clicked rather than changing pages.

There is little need for saving space, so large clear icons are supported with text so that every feature is clear and obvious. For the same reason, no hidden 'hamburger' menu is needed, the four links fit safely on a smartphone screen.

The site is written in pure html and javascript, updated by IG Design each month, which means no need for a Content Management System which for this situation would add unnecessary complexity.
